Nadien puede olvidar el día que cambio el mundo .
Iba camino a mi trabajo en taxi cuando por el radio escuche que las torres gemelas de Nueva York no existían mas. No le dí mucha importancia estaba mas dormido que despierdo pensando en otras cosas y la noticia me paso de noche.
En esos días trabajaba vendiendo por teléfono cursos para aprender inglés en video y
y todos nuestros clientes eran de EU. No me daban ganas de hacer ninguna sola llamada, pero tenía que hacerlo.
Estaba prohíbido llamar a Nueva York y Nueva Jersey por lógicas razones pero aún así el resto de las personas con las que me comunique no estaban inmunes a lo que había ocurrido.
Había gente preocupada por parientes , por su trabajo, por la economía y una señora como si supiera lo que iba a pasar en el futuro estaba preocupada por su hijo que lo mandaran a una guerra.
Aún no lograba comprender la magnitud de lo que había ocurrido hasta que salí a comer. Fuí a un centro comercial cercano y todos los televisores prendidos con las noticias de lo que había sucedido, cuando ví las primeras imagenes eran como si estuviera viendo una película de acción, no podía creerlo.
Todo cambio... nadien sabía nada. Las noticias repetian lo mismo una y otra vez en un loop constante , era todo un caos.
Después de 7 años el mundo no es igual, existe mas temor. Sabemos que no estamos seguros y cualquiera puede presenciar un acto tan cruel que marque la historia de la humanidad.Pero tambien se que aún existen personas que arriesgan su vida por salvar a otros y eso es digno de recordar y jamás de olvidar.
Nobody can forget the day that changed the world.
I was on my way to work by taxi when I heard by radio that the twin towers of New York there were no more.I didn't gave it much more importance because I was half at sleep thinking about other things and news just didn't hit me.
In those days I worked by selling english video courses by phone and all our clients were in the U.S. I remember that I didn't wanted to make any e call, but I had to it was my job.
I was forbidden to call New York and New Jersey for logical reasons but still the rest of the people with whom I communicated were not immune to what had happened.
There were people worried about relatives, for their work, the economy and a lady as if she knew what would happen in the future was concerned about her son in the military who would be sent to war.
Still unable to comprehend the magnitude of what had happened I went to lunch. I walk to a nearby shopping center and all televisions sets had the news of what had happened, when I saw the first images were as though were watching an action movie , I could not believe it.
Everything change ... Nobody knew anything. The news repeated the same thing over and over again in a continuous loop, all was chaos.
After 7 years, the world is not the same, there is more fear. We know that we are not safe and anyone can witness an act so cruel that mark the history of humanity but I also know that there are still people who risk their lives to save others and that is worthy to remember and never forget.
